Today started out as an ordinary Sunday Morning, we woke up, got ready for contemporary service at Church, went to church, stayed for Sunday school, and then grabbed lunch. On our way home, I mentioned to my husband that I had noticed a few weeks ago, a home that was originally a habitat for humanity home was for sale, I wanted to ride by and see what he thought of it. Having volunteered on a few home builds for habitat, I always like the size of homes they built and also, the layout. We rode by, and although this particular home was very nice, it was a bit small for what we are wanting. We were turning around and noticed a friend of ours from Church (the guy who runs Habitat) outside working at his home two doors down. We stopped to say "hey" and told him we were looking at that house, he began to tell us he was building a house now, that wasn't even on the market yet, and it would be soon! He basically said, follow me and I'll show you. So we got a tour of this "Perfect" house today!!! And let me say, OMG it' is perfect! It has everything I would ever want in a house, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1356 sqft, on main level, a basement, and valted ceilings. The only downfall at all, it is $25,000 more than our idealistic price range. But because this is a habitat fundraiser house... meaning all the building supplies, builders times, and products in the house are practically given to habitat, and the money will be going to the new habitat home store in our town. We can not make an offer lower than the asking price! This house is amazing!!! It will have pergo flooring thoughout, tile flooring in bathrooms and kitchen, all appliances and furniture included, and it's a "green home"nd a pre-plumbed basement!!! How can we turn this down? After all, we are the only ones to have seen this house and it's not even on the market yet!
So, now we're on to looking and studying our budget, can we or can't we do this? hmmm... we'll have to see! But... for tonight, I wish I could go back to kindergarten where the toughest decision I had to make was, Elmer's glue or stick glue?
I am a Wife to the boy next door, I am a Mom to an amazing 3 year old girl, who is my world! I am a semi-new home owner. I am a Christian, a friend, a daughter, and a sister. A gourmet mom, a dance mom, a good mom.

Two Things!
Two things that made my weekend wonderful...
First thing,
I started my own etsy page, on etsy.com My husband talked me into it. I have been making bows for Peyton and I am getting better at them everyday. so he talked me into selling them, I have sold a few already (locally) so now I am working on setting up my page and getting stuff on there to sell. I will be selling bows, then maybe clothes, bedding, whatever I can figure out how to make, and then on to other things as I improve.
Second thing,
Peyton said "I Love you Mommy" last night. I was in the kitchen, making bows and I was telling Macon "I love you hunny" well Miss Peyton thought I was talking to her and she said "I love you Mommy!" It was the best thing in the whole world!!!! :)
Good Night Y'all!

I thought he walked on water
One of my earliest memories in life was sometime when I was about two years old, my grandfather, who I called Pap-poo, bought me a child's record player, and several records to listen to, some kids music others some of my grandpa's favorite country music, and one in particular that has always been my favorite, one I still listen to today. Randy Travis' first album Storms of Life. I remember dancing with my grandfather in the kitchen at my grandma's house and standing on his feet so he could help me dance. When I was three years old he passed away. Several years later my dad and mom, took me to see Randy Travis in concert, and I remember hearing the song "I thought, he walked on water" for the first time. I was only 5 years old, but for a minute I felt like that song was written for me. He sung about the special bond between him and his grandfather and how sad he was the day he died. It took me back to the time when I was dancing with my grandfather at home. From that day on, I didn't remember the concert, or the thousands of people there listening to Randy sing. I remembered me, my mom and dad, my grandma and my grandpa, in my grandma's kitchen watching Randy sit in a chair singing to us, and us only.
As the years went on and I grew up, I still continued to listen to Randy's music, purchasing records, then cassettes, then CD's and now MP3's on my phone. Still with this memory of my family sitting in my kitchen listening to Randy Travis singing to us, and us only. But as I got older I had realized that this was only a dream and had came to the conclusion that I had never saw him in concert and the only memories I had were those of my pap-poo and me dancing in the kitchen to Randy's music.
On February 24th, 2007, I married the love of my life in a beautiful church wedding with all my family and friends there with me, and in the back of my mind was the memories of my pap-poo and me dancing to Randy Travis in their kitchen. I wrote my husband a letter that day and told him how Randy had always been a big part of my life, "If you wonder how long I'll be faithful, I'll be happy to tell you again, I'm gonna love you forever and ever, forever and ever, Amen"
My husband and I have been married now for 4 years and we have a beautiful daughter to show for it, and I still carry Randy's greatest hits around in my car, always. This year, for my 27th birthday, my mother in law gave me tickets to see my Idol, Randy Travis for the second time. This time I do remember it a little differently though, I was in a crowd of thousands. No where close to Randy or the stage, there were probably 40 rows of people in front of me, and I looked through the zoom of my camera to see him closer. but it was the best concert I have ever been too! I sat there in my lawn chair beside the love of my life, and when Randy came out and I heard his voice, tears filled my eyes and I cried like I was a 15 year old at a Justin Bieber concert, I cried through the whole first three songs. And of course I cried again during he walked on water.
People may come and go in your life, but the memories you shared with them, even if only in your dreams, can last forever!
"If the stories told, only heaven knows. But his hat seemed to me like an old halo. And though his wings, they were never seen. I thought he walked on water"

On a Mission
So it's been about a week since I last posted about our search for the perfect house, for us! Well, last Saturday my best friend and I had some things to do so we went and looked at modular/manufactured homes. This was interesting to say the least! Those guys drive me nuts, they act like friggin used car dealers. Trying to act like you need features you don't and trying to like they have the best of everything. And trying to sell you shit you can't afford. But oh well... on to day two...
Which was Wednesday, we were heading to a country music festival and on the way decided to stop in and look at more modular/manufacturered homes. We fell in love!!! There was this house there that I really felt at home in, I could see myself having people over, cooking dinner, having parties in the back yard and reading Peyton bedtime stories. IT was EXACTLY everything we want in a home, and I didn't feel like these guys were like used car dealers at all, they acted like they cared yet still wanted us to buy from them. My dad when I told him we were looking for a home to buy, he doesn't want us to buy anywhere, he wants us to either, build a house where we are, or put a single wide, double wide, or mod on the land we are on now, and give us the land. I am so happy about this!!! I don't want to move, I mean, I love where we live, my dad is next door. My in laws are across the road, and my grandmother is also next door. We are also in between my husbands work and my own work, so it's perfect.

My husband Macon and I have been very fortunate, we met when we were 5, we became instant friends and grew up as neighbors, friends and co-workers. Until one spring afternoon when I asked him on our first date, then everything changed... we went from being neighbors to being boyfriend/girlfriend, to being engaged, then to husband/wife, and now we are a family! When we decided we were going to get married, our family helped out alot, and one of those things was giving us a place to call home. My dad had rental property that he let us live in rent-free. And so for the past 4 years of our married life we had lived in what we proudly call the "Mobile Mansion" Other than the fact that it is only 710 sq ft and only 2 bedrooms and one bath, it has been home! We love our little home, but it is time that we grow up and do something on our own for a change. Which bring us to this weeks events... on Saturday we toyed around with the idea to start looking for a home, then on Monday we decided that if we want to start looking we better find out IF we even could afford or get a home. We didn't want to get our homes up and then not be able to do it. Macon called our bank and made an appointment to talk to the loan officer. On Tuesday, I was so nervous and anxious about that days appointment, I didn't eat a bite... and those of you who know me know that doesn't happen ever! 4:45 finally came and as we sat down to talk to him about owning our own home, we got some amazing news! We were approved and not only just approved but we will actually be able to afford more than what we thought! We are so excited to say we are now looking to purchase our first home.
We took a drive on Wednesday to see what our county had to offer, and in the first 5 minutes of looking we found a home! It was a home we first saw back when we were planning our wedding, it is the perfect neighborhood and has a lot of character. After riding around looking at homes and surfing the web looking for deals, foreclosures and new properties. I made a phone call Thursday morning and set up our first showing, we met the lady at the first house we saw, Thursday afternoon at 5:15pm. Macon and I both really liked the house, it is old and needs quite a bit of work, but it has great potential! It is a little out of our price range, but has been on the market for a year and a half. The realitor seems to think we could go down on our offer if this is the house we decide on because the owner is ready to get it out of his hair. So this house is def on our list.
I will keep you posted! :)

These are a few of my favorite things!
Wow, it's been a while! Sorry... I started a post a few weeks ago but decided to save in drafts and not post for now because I was afraid I would offend someone, I know these blog things are suppose to be whatever you want to post but I guess I will eventually get over that and really post what I am thinking!
Anyway, tonight I am really stressed... why I'm not really sure. I guess I am just tired and easily irritated right now. SO I thought what better way to release stress than to talk about my favorite things?...
1. My daughter's kisses when I wake up beside her on Sunday mornings!
2. When I see my husband's name pop up on my phone when he texts to ask me how my day is.
3. When I get to spend time with my dad, no matter what the reason, I still enjoy his company.
4. Skyping with my sister, since I don't get to see her in person as often as I'd like.
5. Randy Travis
6. Glee
7. My Iphone
8. Decorating for Christmas, putting up the tree, wrapping the gifts, lighting the Christmas scented candles, turning on songs that remind me of the holidays and the warmth that fills the house when it's all finished.
9. My church, it took long enough to find one I loved, I think I'll keep it.
10. A good bra
11. Pumpkin cheesecake

12. Sweet tea
13. The smell of grass when it is first cut.
14. My cowboy boots
15. My mattress, it's the best!

Kids say the darndest things
This past weekend, my step-sister finally had her baby (she was 11 days past due), and my family went to the hospital to visit with her and baby Gavin. Peyton told me she had to "potty" so I took her to the bathroom, in the room. In this particular bathroom, the toilet was sitting quite high off the ground and also had a safety bar beside it. Well, Peyton was sitting there and reached over to grab the safety bar, she looked up at me and said, "Mom" "I'm n'vus" Confused, I asked "you're nervous" and Pea said "yeah" and I asked her why... she just shrugged her shoulders.
So, another cute story I have to share, cause I think it's pretty funny! Peyton was over at her MawMaw's the other day and MawMaw smelled something and said, "did you shew shew?" and Pea looked at her and said... "I fa'ted"
*By the way she talks with a Boston accent, so she doesn't really pronounce her R's so that's why I have took the R's out of the words she actually says*

Coupons
Lately it seems everyone is trying to save money, with gas prices going up everyday and rumors of them reaching $5 a gallon this summer, anyway you can save is good right?
A girl I went to high school with started a facebook page/blog about the art of coupon-ing. In the past few weeks I have been following her tips and hints and I have learned allot of secrets, such as... this local grocery store (about 5 minutes from my job) has been doing triple coupons, for the past 8 months. Seriously how did I NOT know this???!??? Triple coupons. That means that any coupon values 99cents or less, can be tripled. Today I decided to try this out and see if I could save money the way she had.
This is what I got: (I have listed product purchased, was price, then price I paid after coupons and store discounts)

Co-Sleeping
So... I decided I needed to post another blog tonight. We co-sleep. This was not our original intentions but it ended up happening. Like I said in the previous post, my daughter is the most important person in my life... with that being said. I am paranoid as hell about everything! So when she was about 4 months old, we moved her out of our room bassinet... to her own room in a crib. From then on, I couldn't sleep. I would wake up 14 times a night and go make sure she was still breathing... I'd realize she was fine, go back to sleep for 10 minutes and go check on her again. After 2 months of this and after I fell asleep at work, while on hold with a vendor... I finally told my husband "I am desperate for some sleep, please let her sleep in here with me, so I can rest well" and after what was the best nights sleep in my life. She stayed! Every night for the past 17 months in our Queen size bed, between us! I love it but my husband hates it! (She kinda likes to kick him alot, lol) So I promised him we would work on getting her to sleep in her own bed. So we got her a toddler bed and she loves it!! But she only makes it about half the night in her bed, before coming to sleep with us. Which I know is better than nothing. But since she has started to sleep some in her bed, I am back to NOT sleeping... So this my friends is why at 3:21 am when I should be sleeping, especially since my alarm will be sounding in about 2 hours, I am awake! Creating a blog about who knows what?!? Waiting and hoping she will wake up soon and come to bed, so that I can get some zzzz's.
Me and Pea
This is me and Pea is about me and my daughter. I love her more than anything else in the world, and when my friend suggested I start a blog, okay that was probably more my idea than hers... I thought what can I talk about? Well, truth is, I still don't know what I am going to talk about, but you have to start somewhere! Right? So this morning I am going to start off by talking about her. *Pea*
Pea is my daughters nickname we gave her the day she was born. She is going to be two in a little over a month, I still can't believe it! Seems like only yesterday she was born. She enjoys watching Barney and she loves to color, which she calls "coll-e". I work full time in a Monday-Friday job so she stays at home during the day with my step-mom. She is by far the best thing that ever happened to me, she is my world and I don't know what I did before I had her.
So, today is March 1st and one month from today will be her 2nd birthday party... so I started planning for this party about 4 months ago, sorry I love to plan parties, I plan out all the details months before they are going to happen and nit-pick over every little detail. I probably annoy my husband to no end, because that is all I will talk about from Christmas to April is her party, and her gift and "oooo we need to get this for her birthday gift" "honey she just has to have it" and "honey I have a gymboree coupon, you just can't pass that up."
We decided last year when we were planning her birthday that every year we wanted to get her something that would mean something to her for years to come, not just a toy or an outfit she would outgrow in 6 months but something that would last forever, or pretty close. Last year we got her a personalized jewelry box from pottery barn. This year we are redecorating a play house for her. The playhouse was a gift from my mom and dad to me on my 5th birthday. It is really nice and I have never been more excited to work on something in my life! We started the renovation process last weekend and painted the outside main part of the playhouse, an hour into it, we were done because we had ran out of paint! :) so this past weekend we got more paint from Lowe's and I got to work. My husband was at work so it was just me this weekend. And so far it looks really good! I am going for a cottage style to the house and I hope it turns out to look as good as I think it will. When I can figure out how to work my new Iphone to get pictures on my computer I will post before and after pics.
Oh well, that's enough for tonight!
