This is me and Pea is about me and my daughter. I love her more than anything else in the world, and when my friend suggested I start a blog, okay that was probably more my idea than hers... I thought what can I talk about? Well, truth is, I still don't know what I am going to talk about, but you have to start somewhere! Right? So this morning I am going to start off by talking about her. *Pea*
Pea is my daughters nickname we gave her the day she was born. She is going to be two in a little over a month, I still can't believe it! Seems like only yesterday she was born. She enjoys watching Barney and she loves to color, which she calls "coll-e". I work full time in a Monday-Friday job so she stays at home during the day with my step-mom. She is by far the best thing that ever happened to me, she is my world and I don't know what I did before I had her.
So, today is March 1st and one month from today will be her 2nd birthday party... so I started planning for this party about 4 months ago, sorry I love to plan parties, I plan out all the details months before they are going to happen and nit-pick over every little detail. I probably annoy my husband to no end, because that is all I will talk about from Christmas to April is her party, and her gift and "oooo we need to get this for her birthday gift" "honey she just has to have it" and "honey I have a gymboree coupon, you just can't pass that up."
We decided last year when we were planning her birthday that every year we wanted to get her something that would mean something to her for years to come, not just a toy or an outfit she would outgrow in 6 months but something that would last forever, or pretty close. Last year we got her a personalized jewelry box from pottery barn. This year we are redecorating a play house for her. The playhouse was a gift from my mom and dad to me on my 5th birthday. It is really nice and I have never been more excited to work on something in my life! We started the renovation process last weekend and painted the outside main part of the playhouse, an hour into it, we were done because we had ran out of paint! :) so this past weekend we got more paint from Lowe's and I got to work. My husband was at work so it was just me this weekend. And so far it looks really good! I am going for a cottage style to the house and I hope it turns out to look as good as I think it will. When I can figure out how to work my new Iphone to get pictures on my computer I will post before and after pics.
Oh well, that's enough for tonight!
Good night
