So it's been about a week since I last posted about our search for the perfect house, for us! Well, last Saturday my best friend and I had some things to do so we went and looked at modular/manufactured homes. This was interesting to say the least! Those guys drive me nuts, they act like friggin used car dealers. Trying to act like you need features you don't and trying to like they have the best of everything. And trying to sell you shit you can't afford. But oh well... on to day two...
Which was Wednesday, we were heading to a country music festival and on the way decided to stop in and look at more modular/manufacturered homes. We fell in love!!! There was this house there that I really felt at home in, I could see myself having people over, cooking dinner, having parties in the back yard and reading Peyton bedtime stories. IT was EXACTLY everything we want in a home, and I didn't feel like these guys were like used car dealers at all, they acted like they cared yet still wanted us to buy from them. My dad when I told him we were looking for a home to buy, he doesn't want us to buy anywhere, he wants us to either, build a house where we are, or put a single wide, double wide, or mod on the land we are on now, and give us the land. I am so happy about this!!! I don't want to move, I mean, I love where we live, my dad is next door. My in laws are across the road, and my grandmother is also next door. We are also in between my husbands work and my own work, so it's perfect.
I am a Wife to the boy next door, I am a Mom to an amazing 3 year old girl, who is my world! I am a semi-new home owner. I am a Christian, a friend, a daughter, and a sister. A gourmet mom, a dance mom, a good mom.

My husband Macon and I have been very fortunate, we met when we were 5, we became instant friends and grew up as neighbors, friends and co-workers. Until one spring afternoon when I asked him on our first date, then everything changed... we went from being neighbors to being boyfriend/girlfriend, to being engaged, then to husband/wife, and now we are a family! When we decided we were going to get married, our family helped out alot, and one of those things was giving us a place to call home. My dad had rental property that he let us live in rent-free. And so for the past 4 years of our married life we had lived in what we proudly call the "Mobile Mansion" Other than the fact that it is only 710 sq ft and only 2 bedrooms and one bath, it has been home! We love our little home, but it is time that we grow up and do something on our own for a change. Which bring us to this weeks events... on Saturday we toyed around with the idea to start looking for a home, then on Monday we decided that if we want to start looking we better find out IF we even could afford or get a home. We didn't want to get our homes up and then not be able to do it. Macon called our bank and made an appointment to talk to the loan officer. On Tuesday, I was so nervous and anxious about that days appointment, I didn't eat a bite... and those of you who know me know that doesn't happen ever! 4:45 finally came and as we sat down to talk to him about owning our own home, we got some amazing news! We were approved and not only just approved but we will actually be able to afford more than what we thought! We are so excited to say we are now looking to purchase our first home.
We took a drive on Wednesday to see what our county had to offer, and in the first 5 minutes of looking we found a home! It was a home we first saw back when we were planning our wedding, it is the perfect neighborhood and has a lot of character. After riding around looking at homes and surfing the web looking for deals, foreclosures and new properties. I made a phone call Thursday morning and set up our first showing, we met the lady at the first house we saw, Thursday afternoon at 5:15pm. Macon and I both really liked the house, it is old and needs quite a bit of work, but it has great potential! It is a little out of our price range, but has been on the market for a year and a half. The realitor seems to think we could go down on our offer if this is the house we decide on because the owner is ready to get it out of his hair. So this house is def on our list.
I will keep you posted! :)

These are a few of my favorite things!
Wow, it's been a while! Sorry... I started a post a few weeks ago but decided to save in drafts and not post for now because I was afraid I would offend someone, I know these blog things are suppose to be whatever you want to post but I guess I will eventually get over that and really post what I am thinking!
Anyway, tonight I am really stressed... why I'm not really sure. I guess I am just tired and easily irritated right now. SO I thought what better way to release stress than to talk about my favorite things?...
1. My daughter's kisses when I wake up beside her on Sunday mornings!
2. When I see my husband's name pop up on my phone when he texts to ask me how my day is.
3. When I get to spend time with my dad, no matter what the reason, I still enjoy his company.
4. Skyping with my sister, since I don't get to see her in person as often as I'd like.
5. Randy Travis
6. Glee
7. My Iphone
8. Decorating for Christmas, putting up the tree, wrapping the gifts, lighting the Christmas scented candles, turning on songs that remind me of the holidays and the warmth that fills the house when it's all finished.
9. My church, it took long enough to find one I loved, I think I'll keep it.
10. A good bra
11. Pumpkin cheesecake

12. Sweet tea
13. The smell of grass when it is first cut.
14. My cowboy boots
15. My mattress, it's the best!
