Today started out as an ordinary Sunday Morning, we woke up, got ready for contemporary service at Church, went to church, stayed for Sunday school, and then grabbed lunch. On our way home, I mentioned to my husband that I had noticed a few weeks ago, a home that was originally a habitat for humanity home was for sale, I wanted to ride by and see what he thought of it. Having volunteered on a few home builds for habitat, I always like the size of homes they built and also, the layout. We rode by, and although this particular home was very nice, it was a bit small for what we are wanting. We were turning around and noticed a friend of ours from Church (the guy who runs Habitat) outside working at his home two doors down. We stopped to say "hey" and told him we were looking at that house, he began to tell us he was building a house now, that wasn't even on the market yet, and it would be soon! He basically said, follow me and I'll show you. So we got a tour of this "Perfect" house today!!! And let me say, OMG it' is perfect! It has everything I would ever want in a house, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1356 sqft, on main level, a basement, and valted ceilings. The only downfall at all, it is $25,000 more than our idealistic price range. But because this is a habitat fundraiser house... meaning all the building supplies, builders times, and products in the house are practically given to habitat, and the money will be going to the new habitat home store in our town. We can not make an offer lower than the asking price! This house is amazing!!! It will have pergo flooring thoughout, tile flooring in bathrooms and kitchen, all appliances and furniture included, and it's a "green home"nd a pre-plumbed basement!!! How can we turn this down? After all, we are the only ones to have seen this house and it's not even on the market yet!
So, now we're on to looking and studying our budget, can we or can't we do this? hmmm... we'll have to see! But... for tonight, I wish I could go back to kindergarten where the toughest decision I had to make was, Elmer's glue or stick glue?
